4 small baking potatoes (Russets) scrubbed
1 lb. cheddar cheese, cut in slices
Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Preheat the grill to medium. Cut the potatoes crosswise into slices about ¼ inch wide, making sure not to cut all the way through. Slide a piece of cheese between the slices of potatoes. Wrap well in foil and place on the grill, cover and cook for 30-40 minutes, until cooked through.
